Aquarius is quite possibly one of the most difficult signs of the zodiac to fully understand. This is partly because Aquarius doesn't fully understand herself, and is on a constant quest to discover who she is and how she fits into this world.
Aquarians are forward thinkers and futurists. They are also very techy, and can grasp complex technology very quickly, almost intuitively. They are very good at looking at things and figuring out how they work at a level that's almost akin to a savant - ask an Aquarius how they figured out that new gadget and it will probably take them longer to try and come up with an explanation than it did for they actually figure out the gadget. They make excellent teachers, however, and can easily lay out complicated ideas in layman's terms. Most Aquarians learn seemingly by osmosis using this same tactic - they rapidly absorb information by breaking things down to themes and ideas. However, this amazing power of comprehension can sometimes lend Aquarius a haughty, arrogant quality with people they feel are their inferiors. In these situations, Aquarius will display an uncharacteristic short temper, coupled with a scathing wit and a stubborn resolution. If you're the type who believes "words can never hurt me", just wait until Aquarius has had her say. Her vast powers of observation and recollection will call up every flaw or mistake she's ever noticed about you - and believe me, she's noticed every single one.
Most Aquarians are polite and friendly, with some rare exceptions. While Aquarius likes attention, she isn't dependant on it like Leo or Gemini, nor does she command it like Aries. Aquarius is comfortable in nearly any situation - alone, with friends, in a crowd, or even with complete strangers, Aquarius can appear comfortable. This is largely because Aquarians' true best friend is their own inner mind, which is a stabilizing influence on the social Aquarius.
In early life, Aquarius may view herself as an "outsider" because of her highly developed mind. She may be called "weird", "peculiar", "different", or "out there". Her intellect will mature faster than her playmates, and she will take an interest in books, the sciences, and other seemingly "adult" pursuits. Don't be surprised if you spy young Aquarius devouring your college biology book, or paging through a well worn copy of "Atlas Shrugged". Further, don't be surprised (or unprepared!) when she discusses their contents with the understanding of an adult! Young Aquarius
