Hey you, with that shiny coat.
Come here for a minute and talk to me.
I stand at the corner every day and every night
Waiting for you to drop a quarter or a dime.
You strut into the bank and come out with money.
You hog it all so it can go to your yacht.
None of it goes to little old me.
Who can't even get a sandwich for my wife and child.
At least I have a wife that loyal.
And not a charlatan who parades as a trophy.
At least I have a child that sees my face every day.
And calls me daddy and wants to play.
While your child has to search for you.
And doesn't feel a thing when you die.
Too bad you're not me.

laying on the couch;
watching t.v.
Eating potato chips;
and chocolate cake -
