Start a Journal for a Better You.

Have you ever wondered why the diet you are on isn't working? Are you having a hard time sticking to it? I have a simple answer that will help you tremendously. Write what you get down; write how you feel down. I know how incredibly small that seems but it really makes a difference. How many times have you sneaked a candy bar, or a milkshake? What if you actually had to write that down on paper. Granted it will only work if you make it work, but it's a very motivational tool. Another bonus to writing while loosing weight is that sometimes there are bad days in dieting, days you just wish you could stop by that favorite fast food restaurant and eat whatever you would like. But then there are those days when you are on top of the world. You feel much better about yourself and you have just had a great day. Well writing about those days can provide a venting affect for the bad days as well as a pick me up affect. When you are having a bad day and you have vented, read about the day that went well and motivation strikes again.

By seeing what you are eating day to day, you can help yourself make small changes that will add up. That is how change occurs. You see the need then meet that need. Reshaping your body also requires reshaping your mind, and your will power. A journal is a great way to accomplish this and in turn accomplish your goals. Using this tool works great for working out as well. There are many ways to journal; some people prefer to write it out, pen and paper work great. There are also many great on line tools that can be used to journal as well. There are sites just for meal planning; there are sites for work out logs and there are sites that allow you to do both. Using these tools is a great way to stay on track, and lift yourself up. A journal is a way to recognize and correct things you may not ordinarily notice while dieting and/or exercising. Journal to feel better, journal to kick your diet and/or work out off right. Just journal for you.

Search using your favorite search engine for meal planning tools, calorie counter, workout tools, etc.

Most of these sites are free.

Here are a few I found:

Look around, find one that best fits you and journal away. The affects of a journal can be tremendous. Start a journal to feel better; journal to kick off your diet and/ or workout. Find out what works best and use it to loose it. One day at a time!
