Video games and gaming tips for beginners

YOU LOSE!

Your sneer would fit the devil himself as you toss your controller down and open your system to put in a game that causes less frustration. There are some spartans out here who have lost two hundred and sixty six to negative eight. There are some of us who have tried the same campaign twenty five times and failed every time. Beyond a doubt the most important thing you must always remember is that you are playing a game for one reason, and that is to enjoy a good challenge. The undeniable truth is that failure is unavoidable.

The beauty of a video game is that you pick yourself up, press the fire button to continue (or respawn), and try it again with an improved strategy thanks to the experience. Even if you miss your mark many times, each time you become a little bit better or notice a detail you didn't before, and the hope is that you enjoy the experience leading up to your eventual victory!

The first tip is: Enjoy what your playing!

The entire point is to ENJOYABLY pass your time, so try to be patient with difficult situations. The bigger the difference in your skill level and the difficulty of the challenge, the larger your payoff in experience. If you can lose repeatedly and continue to enjoy the game then YOU WIN, because that's the point! Multiplayer games are growing more massive than ever, and the combination of a great number of players in a semi-anonymous environment increases the chance that someone is going to rub you the wrong way. Take advantage of any 'mute' or 'ignore' features if the sounds the offending party makes bothers you. If all else fails you can join a different server. It's recommended that before you mute or ignore anyone you *politely* ask them to cut out the behavior that is bothering you- You might make a friend!

Next tip: Don't be afraid of taking on a tough challenge!

Again, the harder the fight, the greater the reward. I'm not talking EXP (experience points), I'm talking REAL LIFE EXP. You will lose to your deathmatch guru buddy two hundred and sixty six times, but you will keep getting smarter and faster. Until you provide a tougher match, your friend doesn't get much better.

Tips numbers three and four: TAKE ADVICE...Just not all of it!

The players whipping you right now were once in the same spot you are, and they know something that will help you. Sometimes their advice can help you by your refusal to take it. Different people have different ideas and different strategies. Theirs might not be fun or might
