In today's society, single life is becoming more attractive due to several advantages. There are many good reasons to savor the single life, but here are 10 I think you should ponder.

1. Mapping out your future. When you are married, it is not just about you. It is about the two of you and what will benefit your future together. When you are single, it is totally about you and what you desire to do. You have the ability to think it through without someone pressuring you to make it happen. You also have the ability to make a mistake and correct it without it affecting the entire family. This decision is totally yours and you have the time and the energy to make it.

2. Changing your career. Singles today have many choices when it comes to careers and they do not have to be concerned about their career choice. When you are married, you have to consider whether your career choice will benefit the entire family. You have to consider the hours you will work and the location of this job. With singles, all you have to think about again is you. If you are ready to take on a career that may require travel and or a career that may relocate you, then the choice is yours and you don't have to worry how this will affect anyone else.

3. You answer to no one. When it all comes down to it, you can stay out all night if you so choose, it is up to you. You will determine how late is acceptable in order for you to get up in the morning and not have a sluggish day. If you are a night owl and can maintain a schedule of late nights out with the girls, then do so. It is your choice. If you want to come home and get right into bed with a good book or search the web all evening, again, the choice is yours. No nagging about how long you have been out or how long you spend at the computer.

4. Doing housework. When you are single, you do not have to hurry home clean up. Being single requires little housework. If you are a neat person, your home will rarely be littered to the point where a maid team will need to come in and clean. It is only you living there so when you want to clean your home is totally up to you. No deadlines to clean the living room so that your mates friends can stop by or a rush to get dinner ready so that the family can eat.

5. Going back to school. When people consider going back, most times they have to consider the family and the children, their schedules and if there will be time to do homework and study for exams. When you are
