Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are indeed broke up, but the relationship was broken from the beginning. Lindsay has had a tremendous amount of success following her movie roles and hit music. But, over the past several years, Lohan has seen trouble with the law, with drugs, and with promiscuousness.

Ronson is a 32 year old, London native. She is a talented musician and Disc jockey. She is also co-owner of a popular club in New York City. She worked under the world famous Roc-A Fella label until 2008. After that, she began focusing on her career as a DJ. She deejays in several exclusive night clubs and for private parties.

Lohan and Ronson had been friends for several years. Lohan began seeing Samantha Ronson sometime in 2008. The two were not open about their relationship at first, but the two became more public after rumors surfed in celebrity gossip magazines and on web sites such as My Space. The couple became even more public in the summer of 2008 with pictures taken in a variety of locations. Lohan finally confessed she was dating Samantha Ronson in the fall of 2008 on a popular radio show.

The couple has spent the last year denying their relationship, fighting, crying, and splitting up. The real break-up happened sometime in March or April of this year. I think there were many reasons behind the break-up. Lohan became more interested in focusing on her career and less interested in her relationship with Ronson. In January the two were seen fighting in an exclusive night club. Lindsay was seen running back and forth from the DJ booth all evening. Both were seen fighting and crying. In April, the two got into a bitter argument that eventually included some of Ronson's family members. Lohan was not invited to Ronson's sister, Charlotte's, party which upset Lohan. Security was even hired to keep her out of the event. Lohan begin writing things on Twitter that suggested they were broke up and that she was upset because she was not invited to the party. She even made a comment about how much she loved Samantha and Samantha had succeeded in breaking her heart.

In April, Lohan changed her My Space status to single and reports emerged that the two had split. Lohan told several magazine reporters that she was taking a break to focus on herself. I think this was only one of the many reasons for the break up. Lohan needs to get herself together and the two simply did not click. Evidently, they could not get along and had a history of lies and deceit early in their relationship.
