Poetry: When you look at me

by Alidia Bridge

Created on: May 14, 2009

when you look at me what do you see?

do you see me the way I used to be?

do you see me the way I was before?

or is that woman here anymore?

when you look at me what do you see?

do you look at me in curtesy?

do you look at me at all?

how did we come so far from our fall?

when I look at you all I see

are things the way they used to be

the way they were, the us before

that woman is here, I wish I could be more.
