Pottry green pottery blue
I have no yard but glad to have a few of you
My blueprints of life to plant and watch you grow
But not before I nurture you inside for you to show
For outside on the porch it is still cold
And frost wanders like wagabonds of old
Gentle sprouts weak and green
You raise your heads and spread your tiny leaves
Stretch your neck to reach the light you've seen
But not much comes through the venitian blinding weaves
Dare not let you outside though it is shiny and you are bold
It's tenticles it dangles and entices you with the promises it holds
I may not for much longer but for now have you to care for and hold
You light up my life like lightning at night
As wonderful as that is you give me just as much fright
Soon you'll take root and off you'll go
I can only hope that the pottery pot I got for you will not outgrow

A breeze though a glade
A wisp through a glen
Gardens to perceive
Hilltops to possess
