Command and Conquer 3 : Tiberium Wars is the sixth RTS game in the popular Command and Conquer series and the third game in the tiberium universe . It was developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts in 2007 for the PC and Xbox 360 console . It is the second game in the Command and Conquer series that was not made by dormer developer - Westwood studios .
Tiberium Wars is set in the near future when a mysterious alien crystal known as tiberium contaminated the majority of the world and a secretive organisation know as the Brotherhood of Nod which thinks that tiberium is the next step in human evolution and they are doing a favour to mankind by spreding it . Tiberium is a poisonous crystal that has an abundance of valuable natural minerals and spreads by turning anything it touches into more tiberium . The only protector of the non contaminated world is the GDI ( Global Defence Initiative ) . The GDI was founded by the UN as a responce to the threat of NOD and tiberium . An alien race know as the Scrin also makes it's appearance and starts the invasion of earth .
Even though the three factions collect resources , build resources and produce buildings the same , they play somewhat differently . The GDI is a straightforward powerhouse with strong and somewhat slow units . Nod has fast but weak units so it relies on stealth tactics and guerilla warfare to win battles . The Scrin relies on powerful tiberium based weapons and advanced technologies .
There is a fairly big amount of different units , but there are no naval units so it is somewhat disappointing . The tech tree isn't very big and advancing to the top takes only a few minutes . One thing worth mentioning is that Tiberium Wars returns to the classic building system like the one in Red Alert 2 . Like all of the other Command and Conquer games , Tiberium Wars favours early rush tactics as even the slowest units are fairly fast compared to games like Supreme Commander and they only take a few seconds to build . The resource management is really simple too . You just build a harvester ,a refinery and the harvester utomatically starts gathering tiberium . The famous Command and Conquer live action cutscenes also return .
Overall , Command and Conquer 3 : Tiberium Wars is a fun , fast paced , action packed RTS that is easy to learn , but difficult to master . If you are or aren't a fan you should definitely check this game out as you won't be dissappointed .

Remember Kane? He's back. This time he is meaner, stronger, and balder than ever before. I'm glad EA has continued the glory
