For many people, Disney movies are more than just something to watch for the children, they are a collection. These are the avid collectors and they search far and wide to fill in any gaps in their personal Disney library. There are also other people who fondly recall watching one of these films during their own childhoods and wish to obtain a copy to share with their children, or to watch again and again themselves. However, since Disney movies are only sold in traditional retail stores for a limited time after they are released, some of these movies are a bit difficult to get ahold of once they're gone from the store shelves.

Goodwill-My favorite place to find old Disney movies is the local Goodwill. These are treasure troves of used movies and the prices are amazing! The Goodwill in my town will sell these movies for under five dollars, whether they are out of production or not.

Yard Sales-Yard sales are another wonderful way to obtain the Disney classics that you can't find at the store any longer. Often, a family that doesn't collect the movies will have children that are getting older and have lost interest in them. So, they unload them to you for a song.

Ebay-Ebay.com is like one huge online yard sale, so again, you can find the movies you are looking for at a bargain price. Here, you will be able to place a bid for your selected item or opt to "buy it now", if the seller offers this option.

Pawn Shops-People who need some cash may be selling off their Disney collection to the local pawn shop where you will be able to find them at fairly good prices.

Craigslist-Www.craigslist.org is a site that allows sellers to advertise their products for a set price. Unlike Ebay, most sellers expect their buyers to pick up the product, rather than being prepared to ship the items. Caution should always be taken when contacting sellers and when exchanging money for movie.

Consignment shops-Consignment shops may have old Disney movies for sale. These shops differ only slightly from Goodwill type second-hand stores in that the seller is making some of the profit, rather than donating the items free of charge to the store. Thus, the prices are usually slightly higher.

Movie stores-If you find a movie store that is going out of business and selling off their inventory, get to the sale early for the best selection. Sometimes, movie stores even sell their old movies that aren't being rented as often, but with Disney, this isn't usually the case. These movies seem to be timeless, with renters in plenty.

There are many places that you can find old Disney movies to buy. Some are online and others are actual stores that sell things secondhand. The above list will give you a great way to start filling any holes in your Disney movie collection. Or, just getting that classic that you've been longing to see again. Disney movies have a timelessness about them that is rare. Generation after generation has been equally entranced by these movies and will be for many years to come.
