I have been looking for a freeware program to help me organize all my notes and random ideas. I thought about shelling out the money to update Microsoft Office to the 2007 Student edition to get a copy of OneNote. But a quick search of the internet lead me to a program I instantly fell in love with, EverNote. It may not be as pretty as OneNote, but it has just about everything you could need. You can enter notes just by typing (text) or by way of ink. Now, if you have a tablet PC, using ink entry mode would be great way to enter notes or even take notes during classes or presentations. But, even without a tablet, ink can be a way of importing graphs and charts, or even doodles of ideas. It comes with entry modes for to-do lists, shopping lists, who you need to call or return a call, expenses, and even source codes.
