I want to start this article by asking a question - Does anyone know what the four most dangerous words for Christian People are? Does anyone know? They are: Yes But What If." The reason I say this is because any time you hear those four words being said, you are also about to hear unbelief. You will note then that the words, "what if", appear in the topic line so as to be asking what would happen if some of our Christian Doctrines were wrong. When following after Jesus, in what I have come to know as true faith, one simply does not ask "what if". This serves to cast doubt on not only your own faith but also the ability of Jesus to do that which He said He would do.
But then, to address the topic at hand, it strikes me that the very topic line itself might have been a contrivance brought on by wicked thinking, but I think much higher of the owners of this site than all of that. However, if even one of our Christian Doctrines was ever (proven) wrong, then it might well mean that they all are wrong. I mean, either Jesus Christ was all that He claimed to be, or He was the biggest liar that ever walked the face of the earth. And also, I would be quick to point out that in my experience over the past thirty-seven years in the Bible; no one has ever conclusively proven to me that anything in the Bible is/was untrue. There have been literally thousands of misunderstandings which, in most cases, are easily corrected, provided that the party concerned wants to understand. And to date, if there are conflicting scriptures, or mistakes, or doctrines which are wrong (in the King James Version of the Bible), I have not found them after thirty-seven years of study.
Personally, I hold men and their attempts to "rewrite" the Bible accountable for a lot of the misunderstanding and literally all of the things that many people say are wrong in the Bible. Our newer versions of the Bible are so utterly filled with errors and mistakes in translation that many scriptures have completely lost their original means. But then, this is what happens when men begin to operate in their knowledge instead of depending upon God's wisdom. Because it doesn't happen to fit in with the way we want to live, we blow it off as not for today, enter into unbelief, and don't even try; even though we say that we did try. We need a ten ton load of the real story concerning Christianity and not this shallow, watered down, word mincing, mockery which many seem to be getting. And as for the Bible and Christian Doctrines being wrong; if Jesus really is going to come back one day, I guess that time will tell, won't it?
