The further study of Elijah and the way God used him,and worked in his life is amazing. God is such an amazing God that he took Elijah to heaven without him having to experience death. Elijah was raptured just like all Christians will be that are God's.

Before God took him to heaven the Lord used him for the judgment on Ahaziah. In 2 Kings Chapter 1 it says that after Ahab's death, Moab rebelled against Israel. Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them, " Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury."

This is were Ahaziah made a big mistake. Instead of getting advice from his god Baal-Zebub, he should have went to the one and only true God. The God of Elijah and of Abraham. You can see in 2 Kings Chapter 1 what the Lord did. It says the Lord sent an angel to Elijah and told him to ," Go up and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, ' Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going off to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron ?

Then the Lord told Elijah to go tell him that he would not leave the bed he was lying on. You will certainly die !' " So Elijah went.

The messengers of Ahaziah returned to him, he asked them, " Why have you come back ?" They told him that a man came to meet them. " And said to us, ' Go back to the king who sent you and tell him, " This is what the Lord says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending men to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!" Then the king wanted to know who the man was that told them that.

They replied," He was a man with a garment of hair and with a leather belt around his waist." The king knew who he was, so he sent a captain and fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on top of a hill, and then he told Elijah that the king said to come down!"

Elijah told the captain, " If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men. The the king did it a second time and Elijah did the same thing. Then the king sent a third captain, but he begged Elijah. He fell on his knees and begged for his life.

So an angle of the Lord said to Elijah, " Go down with him and do not be afraid of him." He told the king, " This is what the Lord says: Is it because there
