Poetry: If I die today

by Marlene Bricker

Created on: May 12, 2009

If I die today what would it mean?

Would I review all I have seen

In my life? My years on earth

Since my birth?

Would I continue to think and feel

As I drift from my body. So surreal.

Does it really end?

Leaving family and friend.

Or just continue in another way.

A different journey. A brand new play.

Perhaps simply like changing clothes

Something no one knows

Until it happens to me.

Then I will see

And I will know.

Continue the journey wherever I go.
