If disco and dancing by the beach isn't sufficient and the night seems tempting you to see more of the lights, sounds and sights of Honolulu, that's the Hawaiian "fun spirit" inviting you to fill up your senses.
- If you do not want to give up the beach yet though, you can start by visiting Rumfire located on the beach at the Sheraton where you can enjoy the open air garden bar, patios, and drink by the pool. This place also offers the best rhum from all over the world. Come casual even after midnight and enjoy relaxing music and slowly watch the night go by. After all, you're in Hawaii, where the pace is supposed to be slower.
- Then there's Pub Com also in the Waikiki area. Reputed to have the best service, this bar is something like the normal Vegas pub. One simply takes it easy, sits at the bar and talk a onversation with the bartender or those who are drinking near you. The only catch here is that you can't take your drinks to the table so you must stay at the bar. if you do hoose a table you have to order from a server or a waiter and patiently wait for your food and drink, but the food is sure worth the wait.
- Pipeland is where you go if you haven't had enough of physical activity and you feel like dancing. It's a huge club that with the widest video screen behind the deejay. There are also two "VIP" rooms. You enter by walking up the stairs to the dance floor. The dance floor is accented by different colored coaches and a bar which gives makes one comfortable enough to try dancing or simply start some friendly conversations with other guests and tourists.
- The Ocean Club is YOUR place if you wish to forget that you're in Hawaii for the rest of the evening. The Ocean Club is located at the Restaurant Row and is a rather less than casual bar and dance club. No, you an't go in wearing your beach shorts and flip flops you should be well dressed.Since this is something like a "scene" club, dress appropriately. In fat it's so formal that people start lining up at 10 pm during Tuesdays and Saturdays to get into the called "Piranha Room".
- The W Hotel is another place to go if you wish to forget about the beach for a while. This place is located at the base of Diamond Head and it really is one of the most plosh lounge in Hawaii. The bar interior has no hint of anything Hawaiian at all, nor is the ocean the main view. Singles nights are on Fridays and Saturdays where yuppies in their 30's and 40's gather in the place to enjoy the wine, food, scene and conversations. This place is as good as any modern first rate bar in LA, Dallas or even New York City. It doesn't make you feel like you are actually in Hawaii!
- Lulu's Surf Club is a bit more casual funky and hip. It is extremely Hawaii including the view, of course, whih is Waikiki Beach. The food is good and so are the drinks. Attire is casual and the crowd is almost always fun. Music can be anything from Hawaiian songs to the blues to rock. If you want night fun and friendship in Hawaii this is the right place to stay and enjoy the laid back atmosphere.
- Skyline Two is another awesome place to spend the night in Honolulu. Live performances are sheduled and the crowd is totally diverse. If you love good food, music, dancing and the TOTAL night life experience in Hawaii, this is the place to drop by. It may seem a bit more expensive though than most of the casual pubs near the beach but this place has everything and more for its night guests.
Night life in blue Hawaii is as great as relaxing or fun as YOU want it to be. The choice is yours if you'd prefer dancing to a more relaxing night at the pub near the beach where you can look at the stars while you listen to the gentle Hawaiian waves and music.
