To have an only child has its benefits and drawbacks. It depends on the couple's prerogative. Raising one child has more rewards and luxury compared to having three or more kids. Education is one of the greatest reasons why many preferred to have one child. We all know that every year there's a tuition increase in almost all universities and colleges. Many will find it too difficult to manage finances once kids starts going to school. If you have three kids, your education finances or budget will be tripled too. Basic necessities are the most important factor that to have a small family is advisable compared to a big one. Even if both husband and wife is an a corporate world and have stable jobs, its not still safe to raise a big family. Parents look after the future of their kids, so as much as possible they make it to a point that no one will suffer due to insufficient funds, just because there are too many bills, insurances, tuitions, to pay and too many mouths to feed.
On the other hand, to have two or three kids is okay. As long as you are still in line with your finances that you don't need to sacrifice the other for the sake of the other member of the family. Think a million times if you are ready to have a family. Don't jump into conclusions that you will regret in the end. But one thing for sure, kids are great. And we are so blessed to have them.
