Waikiki Beach on Oahu welcomes you to enjoy its calm and relaxing waters.Waikiki is reputed to be one of the safest beaches in the world where you (and your family) can enjoy "lazy swimming", kayaking and even canoing. Because this is one of the most predictable beaches in the world, this is where most people also try surfing for the first time. Surfing usually seems dangerous when one watches the huge waves in most beaches, but surfing in Waikiki usually means surfing under only about 3-5 feet of water. Surfing for the first time in Waikiki beach can be a memorable experience if you decide to try some surfing lessons offered by the Aloha Beach Services. Private lessons should cost you about 30-35 dollars per hour, though some people swear that after 15 short minutes, they do get a hang of it and learn to manage on their own.
Outrigger canoing is also something that you can try while you're in Waikiki after or before a relaxing swim. Hawaiian outrigger canoes are available for tourists and locals within the beach area at extremely reasonable prices. It's a fun experience.particularly if you have your family along with you to take the pictures for your travel blog!
Tired of all the water sports? Then there's the Na Hoku II Catamara Cruises that you can join. This cruise allows you to relax and have some real sightseeing as you see the whole Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head as you enjoy cruising the waters. The cruise is about an hour to get past Diamond Head. You will definitely see the loveliest sights during the spring and summer but it can even become more of an experience during the winter when you may see those majestic whales in the middle of the waters of Waikiki beach. The cruise isn't costly for about 10 dollars per person plus a dollar or two for beer, sodas or mai tais.
There is also the Abhasa Waikiki Spa at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel at Waikiki beach which every tourist should definitely enjoy after all the swimming and water sports. The spa has four outdoor cabanas which are popular even among locals so it is best to book your treatment before you drop by the garden expecting your massage but don't worry, the spa is open from 9 am to 9 pm which gives you plenty of time. Try the lomi-lomi 50 minute massage or the Hawaiian sea salt scrub along with the massage and have the most relaxing experience of your life.
Your visit to Hawaii cannot be complete without enjoying the Luau at the Royal Hawaiian. This is a 40 year old tradition that happens only
