Recipes: Chocolate coconut balls

Are you thinking of healthy yummy Chocolate Coconut balls that are so easy to prepare for a party or at home? Then just follow these 3 SIMPLE STEPS and simply enjoy with family, friends and kids!

In order to prepare 100 balls.

Ingredients Needed: 1/4 lb.of melted butter

2 lbs. powdered sugar 1 can condensed milk( sweetened)

2 tsp. vanilla essence

3 c grated coconut

2 c of chopped nuts

melted chocolate

1) Use 1/4 lb.of melted butter with 2 lbs. powdered sugar, mix well and add one can of sweetened condensed milk. Add 2 tsp of Vanilla essence allow to stand in the fridge for one hour.

2)Use the coconut with the chopped nuts, a variety of nuts can be used such as almonds, pecans, macdamia or walnuts, nuts contain healthy fats that regulate fat burning hormones in your system with a high level of antioxidants and provide a good source of protein which in turn helps a lot in controlling blood sugar, so don't hesistate to use a variety of raw nuts while preparing the exquisite Chocolate Coconut Balls.

3) After one hour remove the mixture from the fridge, add the coconut and nuts and mix all ingredients well for 5 mins and shape mixture into balls depending on your preferred serving size. Refrigerate the balls for 20 hours or one night. You can use a toothpick, to dip the balls in hot melted chocolate and place then place them on wax paper.

Other suggestions can be, after dipping the balls in melted chocolate use the following according to your choice:

Sprinkle grated coconut or for a sweet spicy taste use a mix of crushed cardamon or ginger powder with a blend of mixed finely chopped nuts or grated dried fruits, to make it more exotic.

Can also be served with fresh cream for a rich taste or mango sorbet for a refreshing experience. Plate decoration can also enrich your savouring time choose from a variety of natural or kids decorations according to the occassion. Make it special for kids by using small almond paste figurines or cherries and mint leaves or even small fruit cubes that you can stick on the balls to create different effects. Play with colour presentation and be original.
