Sleeping out the solitude of endless night
Dreaming away problems accrued through light
Eyes Opened
Wondering what happens beyond closed window
Whirring blades grinding what tries to grow

Staring through small slit in closed shades
Watching green patches slowly razed
Rising sun stops the whirring blades
Silence returns; noise fades
Eyes Closed
Seeking out last moments of precious sleep
Waking to the wretched alarm's beep, beep, beep
