Unaware of her beginnings
Unaware of how life's breath reached her
Only aware of others surrounding and protecting
Suddenly ripped from comfort of company
Feeling tug, tug, tug of rope around her neck
Intuiting erratic movements of unseen monster
Courageously she flees the thing's control
Escaping into the sun's bright light
Freedom at last is hers
Far below she hears
The monster's frantic plea,
"Mommy, I lost my balloon"
