As I sit down to write
Be it day or late at night
I take a moment to to go inside
To that dark place. The place where You reside.
At that point I sincerely request
That You take over. I do my best
To empty. To let go of every thought and every word.
All I learned. All I heard.
Gone. Empty. Ready to receive
Only that which you desire
Me to put on the page to inspire
The reader. Inspiration from You.
Is all that I do.
From my heart to the page
I simply engage
Your word.
I give thanks. I heard.

Poetry: A writer's prayer
by Ann Major
I need no hallowed halls to pray,
Nor church bells ringing to thank my days.
To be alive is much to live for
To be loved, is
Heavenly father I ask you
Please if you have the time
Take a look at the words I've written
See if you like the rhyme
Too often
by Sid de Knees
Oh Lord,
Oh Lord, let me scoop out their pains
and ease this moments writers block,
let me help them to write for you,
or find
Let my metaphors be extended.
Let my mind be quick.
Let my attention be unerring.
Let my details be keen as the eye of a surgeon
and
As morning dawns across the lands,
The world at peace, as God commands;
This is writer's prayer.
For governments that help
