So what do you get when you mix together the genetics of a Sicilian dad and a French Canadian mom? How about one of Chatelaine Magazine's 'Top 10 Men To Watch'.

What another yummy Canadian singer? You don't say? It must be something in the Canadian water to explain all these piercing eyes and rugged good looks. Le sigh. [I think one George Stromboulopoulos will have to come off my 'Top 5 I Can Have An Affair With And It Not Count Against Me' laminated list and be replaced by this new music find.]

Well here's the scoop on one of Canada's next IT guys to keep on your radar for 2009...

Lately everyone in the music biz seems to be talking about Victoria, BC.'s Vince Vaccaro. The 20-something Montreal native could totally be our next big the world will envy us music thing. His sound is a perfect blend of folk meets psychedelic rock...and oh yeah there is no denying that the boy can rock it out vocally too.

According to Vaccaro music has always been a huge part of his life, "One of my first conscious memories is the sound of a vinyl record spinning and crackling right before the music starts to play. I remember watching Chuck Berry on the television one morning, the black and white footage was grainy and the sound was a bit hard on my young ears. Right then and there I knew that's what I wanted to do with my life. It wasn't about making money or doing the right thing whatever that is it was an honest decision I made when I was not older than six. I am a musician."

Vaccaro is an artist who has spent all his time, energy and thoughts completely submerged in music and now everyone can hear the music he has to offer up....his self-titled CD, is in Canadian stores now and via iTunes.

Vince has been writing songs for over 10 years and his passion for music is totally obvious as you listen to his CD. His new record, produced by 54-40's Neil Osborne and it's reminiscent of classic Americana and rock and roll, full of rock out tracks and bring the house lights down ballads.

All the songs on the CD are unbelievably good. If you dig the vibes of Sam Roberts and The Trews, you'll totally fall for Vince Vaccaro and his straight-up, honest rock...seriously ladies what's not to love? He's the whole package deal.

Now the question is, what song do I pick as a preview track into everything that is Vince Vaccaro's musical stylings? It's so hard to choose just one, but my current fave is Heart and Hands. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf2a605GXvc]

Have fun checking out this new Canadian artist...we'll be hearing a lot about him in the months to come.
