Finding a nail polish that achieves your desired results is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. A person can go through a myriad of polishes before finding their ideal brand. Luckily, after quite some time, I encountered IsaDora Perfect nail polish.
Initially, I tried the shade IsaDora Perfect Nail Polish in Frosty Stone, #39. Frosty Stone is a pinkish-peach neutral shimmery shade; visualize tints like shell or pink champagne. When the polish is held up to the light, the particles in the lacquer glimmer intensely, giving an otherwise standard neutral polish enhanced visual interest. Frosty Stone undoubtedly complemented my fair, Caucasian skin, in an understated, chic way. I do think Frosty Stone is versatile and could be worn by most skin tones, if not all, skin tones.
The second color I tested was IsaDora Perfect Nail Polish in Anemone, #52. I, now, understand why so many people are fans of OPI! OPI is another cosmetic company that sells nail polish. They are renowned for their creative, innovative naming techniques. I adore the name Anemone, which somehow made me like this shade even more. The name brings to mind a beautiful creature undulating under the sea. Frosty Stone is banal; it is not on par title-wise with Anemone.
Anemone is a pink-toned light-to-medium purple. Envision: a bright, much less grey, atypical mauve. Generally, mauves are highly muted, very dull and grey-based. Anemone is nothing like those mauves of the past. It is infinitely more girlish than Frosty Stone, and it could be likened to a more wearable Easter egg pigment. Anemone is especially fun to wear!
Concerning which color would be most appropriate in the workplace:
If someone works in a creative field, Anemone would definitely be a hit. Otherwise to be safe, if a person's profession has specific and strict, professional guidelines, Frosty Stone, would be the way to go.
Anemone does not sway as a truly warm or cool color, and it seems as if it could look very attractive on many skin tones from fair to deep. The only skin tone it may clash with is extremely sallow skin. The yellow in sallow skin might contrast too much with the pink and blue undertones in the polish. It would look especially good with tan, bronzed skin and African American skin.
An asset of these polishes is their buildability. You can easily add layers to increase color intensity. If someone wants Frosty Stone to be less sheer and to be more opaque, they would simply need to add a second or third coat. The same with Anemone, it transforms to become much more vivid and concentrated, with just a second coat. Conversely, to have a quick and easy look fast, somebody can conveniently get away with just one coat and have enough color to make a compelling statement.
The ultimate reason IsaDora Perfect Nail Polish is my holy grail among infinite nail polish possibilities, is not because of an image-evoking name or color compatibility; it is due to the final result being perfect. My nails look like they are done by a professional. When the layers dry, you cannot see the paint strokes of the brush at all and look super-smooth. The dry-down ends with a high sheen, even without a top coat, and each coat dried quickly. Furthermore, the polish lasts about a week without top coat.
