There is something about the thrashing two and throw of oceans waves that have always made me understand that there is more to life then what meets the eye.
I have been through many things in my life. Most of which I could get through with grace, hope and inspiration, though alot of pain was had and tears were shed. When ever I feel the need to pull away from this life, when i feel that there is no way life can get any better I find my way to the ocean shore.
Looking out across the blue green waters , seeing the never ending rushing waves and how the sky connects in the distances with the water reminds me that life is a never ending cycle. It reminds me that life is a series of good times and bad times and still yet hard to classify times. And yet we are able to learn from all of the times that we are thrusted into. Much as the waves against the rocks.
Like the waves that slam against the rocky beach life sometimes leaves us crashing against a wall only to pull us back and then allow us to re crash until we get to the point where we have learned the lessons that we should have and move on to our next life lesson.
To every thing there is a season, as the bible says, a time to reap and a time to sow, a time to live and a time to die. But do we really die? We are born into this life innocent and free of fear. then as we grow we lose our innocence and develop fears that we battle until the day that we pass away. Inbetween we reach for love and happiness, which most of us find but never truly realize we have until it is gone from us. We learn of a mystical place that we call " heaven" and a loving forgiving father we call " god" and make it our goal to be with this father and go to this place when our end is near.
What most do not realize though is that this is not our end. It is our transition. We change from our time here to enter a new area of being and begin a new exciting separate journey.
Life is a connected circle. One phase opens to another. Much like the changing of the tides and the calmness and storms on the ocean. Some times life is calm, cool, inviting and at other times life is rocking, spinning in many different directions, and confusing. It is what we take with us in these seasons of life and death that make us the type of person we are and one day become.
One man's objective to what is spiritual may not be the same as another man's but much insight can be gathered by every one just by spending 15 minutes by the ocean shore. For it is there that we can see the ends of the circle of life connect when the sky meets the water.
