No doubt America was founded on the principles of obtaining religious freedom from oppression in Europe. Particularly those that were protesting certain aspects of Catholicism, and other persecutions fled across the blue waters of the Atlantic to a land known as America. In that land one was allowed to worship as they wished, free from oppression by any church. Once the constitution was written, many of its basic language came from Old Testament sections of the Bible. Laws to govern a nation can be found in Judges and King. Laws for assisting the poor and needy can be found in Deuteronomy Chapter 15 Verses 7-11, and particularly deal with how to help the poor among us sufficiently to supply their needs, and not to harden hearts against them. Verses 12-15 deals with how to treat and free slaves that arer brethren, with a time limit of seven years, then giving them provision upon receiving their freedom.
This of course was not done for African Americans, as they were not seen as the brethren of the founding fathers, but rather property like land and cattle. However, this is a fallacy, for once white slave masters and overseers began to rape and seduce slave women, they joined with them as one flesh and produced children. Certainly the children were the sons and daughters of their white fathers, but not treated as so. Today in America, the African American population reflects the white bloodlines that run through their veins since the days of slavery. Few African Americans resemble their African forefathers, for the majority of them have lighter complexions, many with light colored eyes, and hair ranging in all textures from woolly, kinky, curls, and waves. Many have hair color that is brown, light brown, sandy, red and even blond. My youngest grandson has curly brown hair with red and blond highlights. His skin is the color of a paper bag, while I am chocolate. This child is a throwback, if you will, of Irish and Italian ancestors that joined themselves in sex with African ancestors. My mother is a red head with freckles, as are some of her brothers and sisters. Her father resembled an Irishman, only with kinky hair. Her mother, though very dark, had straight hair to her waistWe all know that reparations have been denied for the black race, and the government feels none deserve the 40 acres or the mule. Middle class and rich republicans cringe at the idea of paying higher taxes to help the poor out of debt, and totally disregard the Biblical verses that specifically discuss how to help the poor and the freed in their midst. Our leaders are sworn in office with their hands placed on The Holy Bible, and the Ten Commandments were once placed in court buildings without shame or controversy. Our currency says, "In God we Trust," so how can America be anything but a Christian nation?
The country has made great strides, the greatest besides freeing the slaves was the election of an African American President, with mind you, an African name. . .Barak Hussein Obama, Jr. He was not just elected by some 40 million blacks, but many Latinos, Jews and whites had to vote for him to win the election. Now that he is President, many have grave concerns over his foreign policies, and the need to pacify haters of Jews and Christianity.
Most concerning to me is a statement he made clarifying America. And I quote, "We are not a nation of Christians or Jews, but a nation of people with ideals. . ." So now our Jewish roots that formed Christianity are being denied to be replaced with all forms of ideas that infect the nation. Besides Christianity, we have occults, Atheism, Scientology, Agnostics, Satan worshippers, Muslims, and many different forms of Christian denominations. Yet this is the religious freedom of America. However, to deny its Christian ethics is a slap in the face to God almighty. Once I heard this comment, the picture of our President being sworn in with his hand on a Christian Bible, ,written by Jewish prophets seem in great contrast and contradiction.
In the new testament, Jesus speaks to the people, saying, and I paraphrase, "If any is ashamed of me before man, I will be ashamed of him before the Father."
Have we become ashamed of God who made this nation great? Are we yet caving in to continuous child sacrificing of aborting babies, and honoring the rights of the homosexual community to please the masses? Do we continue to attack Evangelist theories so that our own needs and desires can be satisfied? Do we continue to allow our country to be submerged in all kinds of cultures and radical beliefs so as not to offend anyone? Apparently this is the path leaders have chosen.
One dare not be caught with a Bible in Saudi Arabia, India, Iran, and any other Muslim, Buddhist or Hindu nation, and American chaplains could not pray for our soldiers in the name of Jesus. . .so as not to offend the religion of the land
Few, if any seem not to care about offending God the creator, and only seem to want prayer vigils once a catastrophe hits the country such as 9-11., or touches them personally. Many wonder, who indeed is God?
We profess to be the greatest country on the planet, and have had this status for two hundred years. Looking at things in today's light, it becomes easy to understand why our economy has drastically fallen in all the major areas, and why America is not mentioned among the nations in the book of Revelation. Is anybody reading the Bible anymore? The entire history of prophetic predictions for the nations have come true and continue to do so. The Jews know this more than most, as they even now live out a prophecy by being back in their own homeland with enemies surrounding them, after a predicted two thousand years.
Are the hardships of blacks in Africa coincidental or due to paganism, and past enslavement of the Jews in Egypt? Why are mud slides, devastating storms of destruction, pestilence, famine, earthquakes, child prostitution and slavery still running rampant and unchecked in non Christian nations? The fear is we as a nation have set ourselves up to acquire those same calamities as we diminish God from among us and satisfy the masses. Think on this while Americans run around trying to protect themselves from the Swine Flu, and the next outbreak of whatever that will produce fear in many hearts.
Stockholders flinch and cringe daily, consumed with the Dow Jones. wiped out 401's and retirement plans. Our nation has grown fat and greedy like Babylon and the Roman Empire of old, and is attempting to throw Christianity to the curb. Unfortunately, I fear the masses will win the war for our Christian country to know and honor God no more, unless there is intercession. From the pages of Biblical prophecies, it appears there will be little to none, unless those still wanting to acknowledge America as a Christian nation fight for her to remain so. We once were "the land of the free, and the home of the brave." Yet I ponder, but for how long as the nation falls apart before our very eyes?
