It flows down rivers, streams and lakes
Tumbles from the heavens and sky
Freezes to form snow flakes
And is found from low to high
With it we take our showers
Brew coffee and tea
Water the lively flowers
And yet it flows free
For it possesses no master
It does as it likes:
Bring pleasure or disaster
Spare or pound dikes
It is the essence of everything
A free flowing might
The presence of which the lakes sing
Or a tiny drop in the night

Holding, creating new you’s and me’s
God's water in a dry land

There was no water

Cleanser, life-giver
Mud-maker, destroyer

Can't live without it,

Elusive, crystal clear, and bitterly
Dark at times.
Some are delicate and,
Often slip through
