Freys ran fingers through short light brown hair, first day at school. There was a nice normal thing to worry about, instead of dragons and fairies and a world that probably didn't exist. Freys lived somewhere else, some of the time. He had always had this other world to retreat to, in dreams, he went to Ardor. Ardor was very medieval, very fantasy world, very like something from Tolkein's imagination. And Freys loved it. He especially loved the Freys he could be there, instead of a quiet rather dreamy boy who always seemed a little out of place he became Freys the trickster god. Not god, sort of spirit, a patron of Travellers and thieves and as far as many were concerned an arrogant pain in the arse. Freys grinned and a greenish light shone in his grey eyes, it was a new school, a new world almost. He would be his other self here and it would work. He just hoped Loreth wasn't trying to take over the world again, all out war in Ardor wasn't something he felt like dealing with at the moment.

Her attention was drawn to a new boy, cute, light brown hair, grey eyes with a greenish sparkle and lightly tanned skin. He grinned at her with a sort of wicked cheerfulness and somewhere in her head she heard a voice 'I always thought you'd be shorter' she shook her head imagining things again. The new boys name was Freys Aquillus, a name guaranteed to get him beat up if it wasn't for his easy, fearless manners and that greenish gleam in his eye.
Polly could see she wasn't the only one staring, Katie Frond was making eyes at him as was Lauren Old. Polly glanced at her best friend Kathy, red headed and fiery tempered, Kathy gave her a look and glanced at the boy, coded conversation for 'he's cute, no?'
Kathy had her own boyfriend James, currently in France where he insisted he was chatting up every girl in sight and was
