Winter's Verse.
Limp drooping berries upon scratchy hawthorn wood
Peeping red from under their powdery down hood
The sparkling virginal veil so crisp and white
Snow blanketed in starched percale like delight
Rosehips mirroring the robin's vivid rouge breast
As he flies diving joyfully over yon hilly crest
Amassed hibernating bushes of the fruitless elder
Stiffly bowing and withering within frozen shelter
Families gathered cheerfully to skid and skate
For juvenile play and funtime with snowy mate
Cheeks glowing of winter fire adorn the face
Obliviously snapping cobwebs of cold iced lace
Birds with olive and brown feathered wings
With wide open beaks that warbles and sings
Avoiding snow missiles as best as they can
Atop landscape moulded like thick marchpane
Arm in arm in their protective familial throng
Home bound children in tuneless plaintive song
Tired evening sun pales to bed at fading pace
As the new moon rising hides her waning face
Bats smirk at squirrels in their cold bed of sorrow
As sleepy nut filled creatures await sun tomorrow
This cold rude winter's howling full scorning spite
Makes for a shameless brutal bone chilling night

Too Far Away From Here
Outside my window, icy winds blow.
Piles of white cover the city streets below.
Streets void of life,
January
Trees glisten in the sunrise
Glassy tinsel draped carefully on branches
The thin shiny layer of crunch
Atop yesterday's
Winter Sunrise
(A Retourne)
I wake up early with black morn
for sunrise hardest yet to catch.
Her butter cream and silhouette
etched
Winter Winds
Whipping whistling winter winds
Whispering wandering wailing
Swaying sparkling silver snow
Spinning spiraling sailing
Angry
