I had never heard of emailcashpro.com until I came across this unloved article title. I decided to take a look. Bear in mind this in the website review category - it is a review of the site and a few general comments. I haven't joined.

Emailcashpro.com is aimed at users in Singapore. Like other paid to read sites it offers users a payment in return for reading advertising emails. It doesn't claim to be a get rich quick scheme.

How does it work? Once you join are asked to select your areas of interest from 30 different categories. You will then start to receive emails from advertisers in these categories. To receive payment you have to open the email and keep it open for at least 30 seconds. Obviously, the more categories you choose the more emails you will be sent and so your potential earnings will be greater.

Where does the money come from? Advertisers pay everytime one of their advertising emails is opened. A portion of that payment is sent to you, the reader.

As far as I can tell, this is a reputable and legitimate site. The amount of pay you will receive will never be large, but if you have time on your hands it could provide a little useful extra income.

On the front page of the site there is a link to an article that appeared in the Singapore Times in April 2007. This provides a useful overview of the site and starts with a few bullet points which should give you a good overview of how the site works and how you are paid. It includes details of the "small print" including the fact that there is a minimum payout of $11 and you will be charged a $1 administration fee for each cheque.

You will be awarded 1 point for each email you read. Each point converts to approximately 0.5c. This equates to 1c for 1minute's work (excluding time take to open/close each email), or 60c per hour. $6 for 10 hours work. So to reach that minimum payout of $11 you will need to open and keep on your screen for 30s approximately 2200 emails - 1100 minutes of screentime.

If you have friends/family that are interested in joining, they join below you (a form of multilevel marketing) and you can earn a small fee each time they read an email or one of their referalls reads an email. This system will ensure that original members earn considerably more than the 60c quoted above, so long as their friends joined and so did their friends and their friend's friends etc, etc and they all continue to use the site.

I'm sure you get the idea by now. Decide for yourself whether you think this site might help you earn some extra income.
