Advantages of a recession

It was worthwhile doing, staying at home and working. Putting pen to paper, writing anything I could to bring in a proper income. After all, I had to earn 20,000, or at least aim towards it this year. I had bought myself a Christmas Grand Draw ticket with that amount to be won on the 12 January 2009. Instead, I only had somebody called Sam - who when I had first met him seemed rather powerful and wanted similar things to me - eventually chasing after me, more as a friend, scared that a beautiful woman with lovely strong legs and a posh voice would do him out of proper income. After all, he was having problems - deadlines pushed back, less income than he was prepared to put up with, arguments with his mother and what's more, having lost his home with his girlfriend and newly born baby. Such a shame that! He had been blamed for being aggressive. Then he poured out some of his heart and made me feel that he did not want me to have a relationship with any other blokes, especially one.

Why? So he could have a life and I could be totally miserable! What a way to go! I had a lot of energy at times. I knew this - having the right vitamin pills mainly. This helped a lot and enabled me to maintain my dignity, helping push up my work standards.

Sam had bragged about a number of things, when I had hardly known him. He was young - quite a few years younger than me. This would have made my younger brother extremely jealous. I wasn't allowed to go out with younger men. He said. It wasn't right.

What is right then? I thought. Having one-night stands? Putting up with unfaithful boyfriends, who knew they did not meet my requirements when they knocked on my door at 11 pm at night? Was I prepared to put up with that? No. I was not. Unless, I was naughty - had a one-night stand and got a baby out of it maybe. But the government would not allow that. They would not give handouts to people who did that. It was not the right behaviour. The right behaviour was putting up with aggressiveness, since men thought they should own every single thing.

Their bad behaviour by not bothering to bring a condom, as promised, and near enough forcing themselves on you, when deep down you were too picky for that type of person. Who would want a child by a bloke like that? The genes would mean that I would have to protect the child from the law when it was older and I was not that type of woman to have to put up with that.

I definitely would not sleep with every single man. I was brighter than that. Respect for me and others would definitely be a necessity.
