When in search for a great anniversary gift, try thinking outside the box. Instead of sticking with tradition, why not opt for a personalized gift basket as a great alternative to the norm?

Not only are gift baskets a great way of catching the mood or spirit of this special occasion, they are also filled to the brim with numerous goodies that will keep your significant other pleasantly surprised.

Creating such a gift basket is a rather simple process that includes:

1.) Determining your significant other's taste.

2.) Choosing the proper container.

3.) Filling the basket with items catered to your significant others taste.

4.) Adding the finishing touches.

* Determine Your Significant Others Taste.

This step should be rather simple. By listening carefully, paying apt attention, and getting to know your significant other, being aware of their specific taste should be a breeze. Once you've completed the first step, now your ready for step two...

* Choosing the Appropriate Container.

Choosing the appropriate container is closely connected with the theme your going for. For instance, if you're putting together an anniversary basket for the sports fanatic, using a football, or hockey helmet, displaying your significant other's favorite team as your basket base, will give the gift basket extra pizazz.

If you're putting together an anniversary gift basket for the movie lover, use a large and brightly colored popcorn bowl as your base container.

* Fill the Basket With Items Catered To Their Personal Taste.

Once you've established what type of container you'll be using, it's time to fill it with items catered to your significant others personal taste. For instance, items for the sports fanatic anniversary gift basket could include:

1.) tickets for your significant others favorite sports team

2.) items personalized with your significant others favorite sports team logo (i.e. hats, key-chains, blankets, pajamas, mugs, vanity plates, etc.)

3.) sports magazine accompanied with a yearly subscription

4.) itinerary for an all expense paid trip to a sports camp

5.) autographed poster of your significant others favorite team player

* Adding The Finishing Touches.

Now that your anniversary gift basket is filled to the brim with goodies galore, it's time to add the finishing touches. Using clear shrink wrap or tulle fabric, wrap the basket and secure it with a color coordinated bow, and viola! You're anniversary gift basket is complete.

Creating an anniversary gift basket that will impress, is a simple matter of using one's imagination and creativity. Once you've established the basic criteria, putting the finished product together should be fairly easy.
