Dreary-Day-Dreaming
Without its freshness no gleaming light
would show thru.
Long lasting memories hold fast to its name,
trickles on a glass pane.
All of a sudden it's stopped.
The smell after a rainfall
on a Spring or Summers' day.
That certain feeling , smell hot, bread baked
it's like you want to float away;
Everlasting on that irreplaceable moment.
Clouds letting out their sympathy,
patterns of raindrops on grass
seem to paint a picture.
To hear raindrops on rooftops tell a story.
Sympathetic wondering , Deary-Day-Dreaming
seem to hold all the secrets of-.
Loneliness seems for-always & forever.
Memories of long forgotten friends;
Anticipation of seeing them again.
Sympathy seems to make sorrow
get happiness too quickly.
The sun seems to make its way
thru the greyness
struggling to show thru.
Its sensitive ray finds it hard to
make it thru the strong blanket of dullness.
Although to search for something right behind the
worst seems to work.
I wonder sometimes,
when I never thought that way
it didn't seem to work,
but now I do & it does.
Your head sort of bounces on a phrase like that.
The coolness of joyous breezes.
Enjoyment of a hot day;
just so you can cool off.
Most times when you're empty,
you fill yourself with food, water & all
just to find yourself empty again.
Wind maneuvering branches on a tree;
They seem to laugh at me.
Shapes of leaves, the
texture of an orange.
Enjoy the seemingly unimportant things,
that makes it all worthwhile.
So you jumped and frolicked as a child
what about now ? You're older !
What do you really enjoy ?
Think about that.
What is it that makes you really happy ?
Nothing, nothing here is everlasting
never total everlasting happiness
here in this world. Not a day, minute nor hour
will you be tiresome or weary
when the final glory comes.
Sorrowfulness, sympathy are major factors.
Where does the heart REALLY wander ?
On snowy, white linen
the purity of which will never fade ?
Descend into the depths of your being.
Loveliness of crisp, clear vocal harmony.
You can tell the sun is out;
No longer Dreary-Day-Dreaming.

Sinking deeper into my dreams.....
Sleep deprived and restless
My eyelids softly close
Blanketing me like a canopy over glistening

As I work, half-dead to the call of bare feet in damp earth
or oiled fingers glancing over knotted calves

I saw Lincoln crying, last night, in deepest slumber
My heart ached for him, his tears, so many in number
And although he

Waking up is a silvery blur
Of things that are and things that were
Things that have
by Riley Thomas
Weary eyes are shuttered in a quiet repose,
Consumed by thoughts of the worlds beyond;
Soothing colors and dancing creatures
