In my experience, the best jobs for college students is something on-campus, such as a library. There are many reasons why this is such a good job:

- Often there is time to study - In my case I work at a department library where there is not too many people that come in. This being the case, I often get a lot of time to study and write papers... actually that is where I do most of my studying.

- Time to do other stuff - For example, I am typing this article up while I am sitting at work. In essence, I'm getting paid to write on Helium (not even counting anything I might make on any articles I write!).

- Proximity - since you'll often be on-campus anywhere for classes, homework, and everything else, you may as well work there too. At least that's my thinking. It's convenient to get there at all times, even moreso if you live on campus (like I do).

- Federal Work Study possibilities - Depending on what type of financial aid you qualify for, you might not even have to pay taxes on the money you earn. In my case, I get a certain amount of money earned per year with no taxes taken out of it.

- Networking - Working on-campus, you'll get to see lots of students and faculty, meaning you can make friends, meet a bunch of people, and even do a little networking, which can be valuable later on.

Add it all up, and working on-campus is a good deal all around!
