To answer this question as simply yes would be a supposition at this point. Better yet, wishful thinking as so much money has already been squandered on bailing out entities who did not deserve it. If citizens of this country who happen to be business owners have to face and determine how to correct mistakes they have made. Whether the mistakes be through , mismanagement, greed or ineptitude. They would rightly have to decide whether to lose everything or resort to bankruptcy. The later giving them the opportunity to restructure or sell while being granted respite form their creditors.
These Corporations and Organizations have been offered monies that were not the Governments to give. These tax dollars come from the sweat of the brow of main street citizens who struggle on a daily basis to make ends meet. We have been forced to accept the inevitability that our Administration has lost all respect for the struggle of the common man and woman of this nation.
It is said that those who have lost their homes and those who are in danger of doing so are at fault. They have either purchased homes beyond their means or have vested irresponsibly in items they knew they could not afford. I beg to differ with this assessment as I have seen decent hardworking people who have through no fault of their own lost all they had worked so hard to build. The economic crisis has hit main street the hardest. We find it hard to pay or bills, put food on the table and keep a roof over our families heads. Through laziness and irresponsibility? I think not . People are losing their jobs left and right. Some are taking part time positions in lieu of the full time positions they need to survive. Others are taking lesser paying positions because they are the only ones available. In some cases two or three part time jobs to survive. Are these people to blame for the economic situation ? Or rather has the situation been taken out of their control? I would venture to say the later would be the correct assessment.
Why are the AIG's,GM's, and banking institutions too big to fail? They and the Federal reserve along with the fiscal irresponsibility of Government are to blame for the crisis we find ourselves in today. I suppose it is easy to spend the money of others. Yet they protect their monies beyond
