At the canal
I saw a swan
Waddle out of the water
And attack his reflection
In a window.
Afterwards he
Retreated to the water
And hid his embarrassment
In a clump of weeds.
His mate kept
Her distance
Until he had calmed down.
I think she realised
That he hadn't won
