weaker, the people of these cities looked up to Amca very much like children looking up at their parents and hoped on occasion to get a nod of approval, an acknowledgement of their existence. The leaders of Amca acted with friendship and admiration towards the people of some cities, with tolerance to others and utter contempt to a few that did not always tow the line. These last were the people of the city of Abab. Centuries before they had been powerful with scientists, mathematicians, philosophers and a culture second to none, but had gradually declined until they had nothing to offer the world besides the oil beneath the soil of their city.
Amca bought the Abab oil but secretly held these people in contempt as intellectually backward and having nothing else of value to offer. At long last, the orders to attack Amca finally came. One sunny day, one very ordinary day, there were two massive explosions in Amca that brought down two skyscrapers which stood next to each other like gigantic columns, a major landmark, killing almost three thousand people. The city was covered by a cloud of dust from the explosions and was in shock, outraged and emotionally wounded that anyone should hate its citizens so much that they would carry out such a monstrous act without apparent provocation. The emotional shock was greater because the people of Amca
