Sun signs carry a general rule based on compatibilities and exceptions to the rule. Based on the numerous signs and their ruling: water, earth, air, and fire. Discerning the compatibilities and the forthcoming results of a relationship pertaining to each diverse sign requires experience. The general rules between the compatibility of sun signs are as follows:

Aries- A fire sign are generally compatible with Leo and Sagittarius. Leo-Aries matches can grow into a mutual encouragement of compatible ideas and feelings. Aries-Sagittarius follow the same line leading usually to fast paced growth and love. However, put a Gemini into the mix with Aries and what may start out well can tumble into differences that are not easily resolved. Taurus- An earth sign takes it slow and easy with other earth signs. Capricorn is well attracted to as long as his or her bossiness doesn't turn off the bull. Virgo too has the same chance, providing the critique is kept at a low keel. On the other side, away from fellow earth signs, Scorpio can bring great emotional depth as long as maturity exists. Domestically a Cancer can find hope with Taurus, as long as vibrancy of activity persists. Leo may have their day, if wandering eyes don't persist.

Gemini- A air sign, can find the mental stimulation they require from Libra and Aquarius, as long as Libra doesn't flee from flighty Gemini. The short attention span of both Aries and Gemini might lead to short-lived relationship, but never boring. However, Pisces can understand the constant changes in Gemini and become a kindred spirit, as well as the flexible and intellectual Sagittarius.

Cancer- A water sign can be well understood by fellow water signs Scorpio and Pisces, as long as Scorpio does not hold to being secretive and wounding. Pisces offering a gentle balancing elements that can often meet Cancers needs. The reassurances between Cancer and Virgo can cause both to drop their defenses into a lasting relationship. Capricorn can bring to those Cancers who seek that loyal family feeling.
