Poetry: About friendship

My Hella Cool Friend

You are there to feel me

You are there to laugh or not when others kill me

You know what I'm thinking most always

You and me...we never part ways

I love being with you cause you're hella chill

You make me laugh and not get all ill

We have hellagood times together

We together get through all kinds of weather

I'm here for you

You're there for me

That's just how we do

We help each other when we're feeling blue

Friendship to me is love at its best

It's the kind of love that surpasses any test

The feeling of a strong connection

Mixed with caring, joy, and affection

My hella chill friend accepts me as I am

She doesn't front or sit around and grunt

She's cool

She's real

With her I don't go and reach for that pill

We go through life side by side

With her I don't have the urge to go run and hide

We have fun

We laugh

We cry

With her... I don't want to die

I know I'm loved and understood

In spite of the crazy me

She just lets me be

And with all that said

My inner self is filled with a tremendous radiant glee

My friend Melissa and me
