Will the new Nintendo WII be a success?

From the refinement of the Video Game Industry in 1983 to a hand-held success, over the years Nintendo has made accomplishments. Their most recent win was Nintendo Wii, a console made to get people active and still have the fun of video games. The Wii comes fully packaged with Wii Sports and you can use Wii Points to add different "channels" such as playing your old SNES games or maybe checking your mail on the Internet Channel. But of course Wii comes with much more and Nintendo's success grows by the days. The functions of the Wii never end but Nintendo is in the making yet another console.

With their success Nintendo is working on the Wii HD. This new system will be due for 2011. The Wii HD as its name says, will be able to support HD graphics on HD television sets. Needless to say more a picture shows this Wii in a black color. A hint to us consumers, Wii may be offered in different colors. But needless to say the Wii HD is far from done and Nintendo hasn't said much, lately focusing on the new DSi.

Nintendo as we have seen it over the years has always created something new and made their new design more fun. But as for consumers, it will probably be a success considering the new HD graphics. But another thing to say is, Nintendo's competitors are always trying to be ahead of the game. For instance, Sony's PS3 features crystal clear Blu-Ray graphics but a price tag of $599.00. But with this break Nintendo may jump ahead and create another success just as they did with the NES.

As for the future we'll just have to see. I see high hopes for the new Wii. The only negatory opinion I have is that after Wii HD, I really think Nintendo needs a new system in development. But Nintendo Wii and Ds continue their victory march as they rack up sales and earn a outstanding revenue. Just about every main video game company has made some kind of sucess, from the 16 bit processing of SEGA Genesis, to PS1 and PS2's legendary games and rpg's such as FF7 and Metal Gear. As for Nintendo, I see hi hopes in their new Wii and, another win.

Rumors on Wii:

Wii will be letting people download new Brawl Content

There's a rumor doing the rounds that a second version of the Wii will include DVD playback for movies, said to release in the US later in the year. The source is apparently a Nintendo rep who gave the info away in a phone conversation.

Disney and Square Enix may have the next Kingdom Hearts put on Wii

Rumors from an official source in Japan suggest that a sequel to Wii Sports could be on the way. Said to include varied sports like tennis, hockey, volleyball, swimming and horse riding it's supposedly full of new and revised gameplay features. The rumor also claims it will have online play so you can face off against other sports fans.

A rumor is around that rpg empire Square Enix, the company behind the Final Fantasy series are making an MMORPG for the Wii. The game is said to be based on their "Mana" franchise, known as Seiken Densetsu inside Japan.
