Hey, lighten up about Paris Hilton! Maybe a lot of the flak she's taking from the press and public is pure jealousy. When I was her age, many decades ago, and had her family money, I would have probably acted the same way. As Max Bialistock says in "The Producers", "When you got it, baby, flaunt it!" I'm just as jealous, because when I was her age I was working my way through college doing all kinds of demeaning work, the worst slaving as a car hop. I don't think there are any today, especially male ones. Car hops ran around parking areas next to hangout cafes (a la "Happy Days") with trays of food and soft drinks. It was tough work, fighting the other car hops to get to the most expensive-looking cars. Then, after serving the stuff to a bunch of rowdy rich kids in daddy's big sedan, I often got the tray dumped on me as they sped off without paying. For that I could have hated them, and I certainly did. But at the same time, I was jealous as hell and wished I could afford the cars, the dates and the money. That's the feeling people have about Paris Hilton and her brazen behavior. But what young person today wouldn't love to have her limitless money and be able to join in on all the fun? Flaunt it, Paris, baby!
