Nivea A Kiss of Rejuvenation Q10 Anti Aging Lip Care SPF 4 treatment is so exceptional that I have bought it multiple times. The flocked applicator is great as opposed to the pot-style lip balms that makes fingers messy; you simply apply directly to lips and squeeze the tube. This silky salve keeps chapped lips at bay and has lasting staying power for hours.

According to Nivea, the product:

"Reduces the appearance of fine lines," and "visibly enhances the natural fullness of lips." - see citation at end of article.

Positive Attributes:

Highly emollient

Long lasting

Compact packaging, perfect for pockets

Sanitary tip to apply lip balm

Inexpensive

Inclusion of Coenzyme Q10

Negatives:

Low SPF

Unprovable, lofty claims

Over-hyping Coenzyme Q10

Though any SPF is better than none, SPF 4 seems scant and stingy in terms of sun protection. A person could get a Chapstick with SPF 30 for less money. In response to Nivea's claims of A Kiss of Rejuvenation Q10 Anti Aging Lip Care SPF 4 diminishing lip wrinkles and noticeably plumping your pout, people shouldn't expect an instant Angelina-mouth.

I notice that my lips look and feel hydrated when using the lip balm. Parched lips look thinner and show their fine lines more, so by adding moisture to your mouth and a glossy textures, it optically airbrushes away the lines and adds volume to the lips. It is not because of any magical ingredient.

Speaking of "extraordinary" ingredients, the lip treatment has ubiquinone, better known as, CoQ10. Though it is an antioxidant, there is no absolute proof that by using it, you will have forever-young lips. In fact, CoQ10 is made naturally in the body predominantly in the mitochondria and is part of the energy-generation process. Just because someone rubs CoQ10 on their skin does not automatically mean their cells' mitochondria energy reserves will increase, though it is a good theory. As a consequence, if the skin's energy reserves increased would they *look* younger? There is no concrete proof of that.

The good points outweigh the negatives with this treatment. I love the texture. Though I wish the SPF was higher, it's fine for wearing indoors. Maybe eventually Nivea can raise the SPF level, so it is more suitable for outdoor use.
