Hell exists on earth, they say
when all the stars have gone away,
and night surrounds us like a shroud,
and terror hides behind every cloud.
Hell can be reality, and much closer
and scarier than we would like it to be.
A demon's kiss upon our cheek
turns us quickly from strong to weak.
Hell's a fire burning in the heart
that rips and tears our lives apart.
Devils dancing on our souls,
biting down and creating holes.
So beware of the hell that can be found
within our minds and all around.
Hell is not some far off place,
and its presence we cannot erase.

Devils on gilded wings glide
