'' Heaven or Hell ''

Most life forms base their living on need,

whereas human beings are obsessed with greed,

unless we change our ways very soon,

we'll become as barren as our distant moon.

Some scientists say, God doesn't exist,

there'll come a time when he'll no longer be missed,

is that really worthy of speculation,

are they saying we are not of Gods creation.

A life without God now that's their hard sell,

nobody there to assure us all's well,

without our beliefs just where would we be,

if you stop to imagine then maybe you'd see.

If we lose our belief that God reigns supreme,

then life on our planet's no more than a dream,

there'd be nothing to pray for we'd be left without hope,

without God in our lives just how would we cope.

If we'd nothing to aim for would life be worth living,

there'd be no good or bad nor any forgiving,

we'd have nothing to pray for or anything to fear,

it's then we would ask, well why are we here.

There has got to be something when we reach our end,

if we lose sight of that what message does it send,

could it mean we're not special after all,

the thought we'll just die really does appall,

Faith is what makes us all truly unique,

without it we'd all have our troubles to seek,

helping all others is in our genes,

it gives us pleasure just to know what that means.

Yes there'll be times we'll be happy or sad,

there'll be situations which will drive us mad,

we all need something in which to believe,

someone out there who can help us to grieve.

If there is nothing we'd be driven insane,

we live in the hope we'll meet loved ones again,

if we believe what scientists are saying is true,

we'd be better off dead there be no more to do.

By having faith and belief we can all plan ahead,

if we don't see the light then our future is dead,

we are nearing the point of no return,

we need to wake up or our planet will burn.

We're are guardians of this Earth so like it or not,

to save all living things will take all we've got,

we must recognise first that we are to blame,

when we acknowledge that we can admit our shame,

working as one with God on our side,

we can save all his creatures we can stop the slide,

but to reach our goal when all's said and done,

all religions together must work as one.

The mammals the plants all the fish in the seas,

the insects and plankton the birds and the bees,

sure as our children need a father and mother,

we are all dependant on one another.

As one species dies another will follow,

soon there'll be nothing now that's hard to swallow,

but like it or not it's a known fact,

extinction's the outcome unless we all act.

The essential elements which are truly a must,

are faith in each other and the ability to trust,

if all living creatures on Earth are to thrive,

with God on our side we can keep them alive.

As time is now short there can be no distraction,

the main requirement's universal reaction,

if we say there's no God we sound our deaths knell,

then we we won't need to worry about,
