Why you should confess your sins

Nobody is perfect. We all have our sins. No matter how serious those sins are, we have to admit them and we have to do something to correct them, making everything right.

Admitting that we are sinners is not the easiest task of all. We all have our pride, thus making it difficult for each of us to accept the fact that we have wronged other people.

But we have no choice, in order for us to be at peace with ourselves, we have admit the fact we really have sinned and that we are willing to compromise and correct our mistakes and deal with the consequences afterward. This is not only for our benefit but it is for the other party's benefit as well. Being able to sleep at night knowing that you don't owe someone an explanation or not holding grudges can be rewarding. It makes you smile to the whole world knowing that you don't feel hatred or regret to anyone else. Having confessed our sins to our designated priests is not the end of it. We have to make reprimands to the point of asking forgiveness to the person you have wronged. And really putting it heart that you are sorry and that you'll do your best not to sin again. In the process, forgiveness will be granted. Yes, it is never easy to forgive but, we have to remember that time heals all wounds. And if the other party can really see the sincerity in you, he will eventually forgive you. And I am really sure that being forgiven is a rewarding experience. It makes you whole again. It erases all negativity in your heart.

We must not forget that Jesus died because of our imperfections. We have all been forgiven upon his death. All we should learn to do now is continue his example. We should be more humble than ever. We should be good examples to our fellow men. Sinning is inevitable. No matter how we try not to commit any sin, it has already been a part of us. We should just learn to avoid it. Learn to say sorry and accept that we have sinned if we wronged others.

We may not be prefect and we can never be perfect, what we can do is to accept that imperfection and learn. Live with what you have. Enjoy what is granted to you. Be contented, and avoid sinning. We cannot make a perfect world but having a clean heart is more important than anything else. It is when you are at peace with yourself that you will be at peace with the people around you and with the world. It is through confession and admittance that forgiveness will be granted.
