a little less than tactful; as far as they're concerned, they're just cutting right through the complexities of a situation, but that doesn't mean that the people on the receiving end are appreciative. If you need someone to go straight to the heart of a matter, an Air sign or a Sword is the way to bet. Physically, Swords tend to have dark hair and light skin. Some of the Tarot cards in the suit of Swords are a little disturbing in their imagery, as befits the weapon that is their symbol, but you shouldn't be unduly disturbed if they turn up in your reading; if you're really worried, talk to a psychic who knows a bit more about deeper meanings.
Water is the element of Cups, and also of the signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Where Air is the element of the mind and reason, Water is the element of the subconscious, mystical and intuitive. People who are strongly associated with Water signs and the Cups suit tend to have a talent for understanding the feelings and emotions of others, and Cups is the suit that turned into the Hearts of a modern deck of playing cards-it's got connotations of love and empathy. A preponderance of Cups in a reading, especially the higher pips and the court cards, can point to a love affair that is changing or about to begin, and in any case it's trying to tell you that your emotions are where your attention needs to be at that moment. Physical characteristics of Cups generally include brown to sandy blond hair, brown or hazel eyes, and a medium skin tone. The only problem with the Water signs' connection to emotion is that sometimes these people take emotion a little too seriously; they can get clingy, passive agressive, or overly possessive because the emotions of their friends and loved ones are so easy for them to detect and they start to feel as if they need to protect them.
Last but not least is the Fire signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. The Tarot suit associated with Fire is Wands, or sometimes Staves. Wands people tend to be blond or redheaded, and have skin and eye colors that match their hair. Fire controls the energies and passions of life-not only lust and so forth, but the ability to dedicate oneself to a project or cause, to feel passionately about friends and loved ones, and to keep going in the face of adversity. The energy of creativity is also the purview of Fire; while you might need Air to make anything of your idea, the idea itself comes from Fire. Fire people, those born in Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, are often very energetic and passionate indeed, which can be great when that energy is directed in a positive way-and less great when it's devoted to a project that isn't worthy of such effort.
This is of course only the shortest sketch of the correspondences between astrology and Tarot; for a better explanation, you'll probably want to consult a psychic who has made a study of such things. You can always learn a little more about the topic at the same time by asking a few questions, which will broaden your knowledge, and two interpretations of a set of signs are better than one!
