Perihelion
-
Swinging around going my way
Seeing tomorrows that fade away
Dig me a hole and bury me soon
From a mothers womb
Who sought me not?
I didn't choose this fate
Slumming around in the dumps
Waiting with a painted face
Raising my skirts often too
Trashed i was, a nobody's child
Neither feeling nor sensing life
With hand me downs
And borrowed dreams
Sashaying around with tiny feet
Nary a care just a tumbleweed
An embrace, words of love
Is all i want and seeking more
Was i born to sin, looks askance
Stench filled mats and lecherous men
On the prowl when evenings come
Pimp who then takes it all
Doing it for soup and a bread
I care not, i sing and dance
As if on cue, then i melt away
Back to the gutters and running slime
My life, my own, my very life
Close to the sun slowly dying
A perihelion just burning away
