WHAT IF?

What if this is all there is,
No glory in the sky.

What if the promise of everlasting life,
Is nothing but a lie.

Would we look at life in a different way,
Would it change our lifestyle at all?

Or would we just go on our merry ways,
With no concern from grace to fall.

Would we be kinder to all that surrounds us,
Would we love harder or less?

Would it bring out the worst in us,
Or would it bring out the best?

Would the human race strive harder for life and peace,
Or would we be totally morale-less?

I truly believe that for life to have meaning,
It really does depend.

On our having faith that this really is,
Not the very end.

That somewhere out there in the vast beyond,
Our Creator is keeping watch.

In hopes that we respect all things that have life,
And that our faith in Him remains staunch.
