A face in a photograph
Is all I can know
I found you to late
No bonds can grow.
I thought you didn't care
Or so I'd been told...
Just upped and left
with a heart ice cold.
Now I know different
You were never made aware
I was your daughter...
Left rotting in care.
I found your son
Learnt of your fate...
A mind dissolved...
To a child like state.
Cruel, sick and twisted
That's how I see life,
Tearing me up
Like a jaggered knife.
A mothers mistake
a truth she denied,
Keeping apart...
A father and child.
