William Shakespeare - To be, or not to be (from Hamlet 3/1) is the question!
Ever wondered why you are like this and your spouse wished you were like that! Here is my article just to bring in the lighter side of marriage. The sentences below with "If you are" indicates the person you are, and in the same sentence after comma is what your spouse thinks you could have been.
If you are modest, you are expected to change to be a little arrogant.
If you are arrogant, you need to mold yourself to be humble.
If you are simple, you are expected to be more up-to-date and fashionable.
If you are fashionable and up-to-date, you are expected to embrace soberness.
If you are outspoken, you are asked to shut-up and speak when required.
If you are quite, you are begged to talk and be heard.
If you are spendthrift, you are supposed to think of future and save.
If you are miser, you have one life so live it.
If you are social, you need to be more responsible and family oriented.
If you are aloof, you need to open out and be more social with people.
If you are organized, you need to let loose at times atleast.
If you are chaotic, you need to be more in control of life.
If you are driving fast, you are a rash driver and someday going to hurt someone.
If you are driving slow, you are embarrassing.
If you are early riser, you disturb others sleeping.
If you are late riser, you are careless and not time conscious.
If you are caring, you are too possessive.
If you are possessive, you are suffocating.
If you are clean, you tire everybody making them do their chores.
If you are messy, you are stinking and need to tidy.
If you are around always, you need to go get a life for yourself.
If you are never around, you are irresponsible and care less.
If you are a planner, you do not live in the present and think only about future.
If you are not planning, you are not smart to plan and you risk the future.
If you are humorous, you don't take life seriously.
If you are serious, you are not fun to be with.
If you are appealing externally, you are flirtatious and want to impress others.
If you are less appealing externally, you never make an attempt to be nice.
If you are understanding, you are too selfless and you should think about yourself too.
If you are self-centered, you are expected to think of others too and be responsible.
If you are materialistic, you measure life with money.
If you are spiritual, you have to have fun in life too.
If you are smart, you think I am stupid and do nothing.
If you are less-smart, you are asked to listen to what others say.
Conclusion:- No matter what you are or who you are, your other side will be appreciated. So just live the way you are and do what pleases you. Change yourself only if you wish to do so. The rest continues no matter how you are.
