method ever that no one else would ever get. That's perfectly fine. The important part isn't how you remember it, but that you do remember it.
The important part is that you're learning something each day. Make it challenging, but not frustrating. You came make simpler goals for yourself, such as "I want to understand the lyrics to this song," or "I want to be able to read the packaging on this foreign food product." This way, you can see a practical use for all your efforts on a step-by-step basis. As time goes on, your goals will get more and more intricate, yet always manageable. You'll see steady progress rather than just the one seemingly insurmountable obstacle of total fluency. Don't worry about remembering everything every time-you need to work with this stuff before it really becomes natural, but it will.
You'll find yourself much more adept at absorbing all this information with the right mindset-with a can-do attitude. Rather than focus on what you don't know yet, focus on what you do know.. You've only failed once you've given up, so don't! Your own opinions can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you keep believing that you can't do something, chances are you won't. So keep a positive mindset, because you can do it!
